Check In & Check Out 

Las Verandas Hotel & Villas have predetermined schedules for check-in and check-out:

  • Check-in time: 15:00 or 3:00 PM
  • Check-out time: 11:00 or 11:00 AM 

In case of any early check-in or late check-out requirement, the hotel provides the option to the guest as long as hotel occupancy allows to arrange it. 

In the event that the hotel has not allowed a late check-out, the guest may be penalized with a fee. This will be added to their final lodging account: 

  • Departure between 11:01 and 14:00
    • Penalty of 30% of the best available rate of the day
  • Departure between 2:01 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
    • Penalty of 60% of the best available rate of the day
  • Departures after 18:01
    • Penalty of 100% of the best available rate of the day

 

Reservations & Cancellations


Deposits & Payments

  • At the time of booking a room/villa, the hotel collects the payment (non-refundable) equivalent to the first night of stay including applicable taxes.
    • The same credit card on file at the time of booking will be used to guarantee the reservation unless the guest requests to change it. 
  • Payment for the remaining nights (for reservations longer than one night) will be requested at the time of check-in.

 

Cancellations

  • Cancellations made 30+ days prior to the day of arrival at the hotel do not incur any cancellation penalty and the reservation is eligible to be rescheduled within the next 12 months from the date of cancellation. 
  • Cancellations made 8 to 30 days prior to the day of arrival at the hotel do not incur any penalty and the reservation is eligible to be rescheduled within the next 4 months from the date of cancellation.
    • If the reservation is not rescheduled within the established time period, the deposit made is not eligible to be used as credit. The deposit becomes a cancellation penalty. 
  • Cancellations 7 days or less prior to the day of arrival at the hotel incur a penalty equivalent to 100% of the stay including applicable taxes. 
    • The penalty applied does not apply as credit of any kind. 
  • The deposit made cannot be used or exchanged as credit in the resort's or hotel's consumption centers (be it food, golf or any other activity). 

 

Cancellations in special seasons

The following are considered special seasons (but not limited to): 

  • Easter
  • Morazán Holiday (Holiday in Honduras)
  • Thanksgiving
  • End-of-year festivities (Christmas and New Year’s)

In these seasons, the following cancellation policies apply: 

  • Cancellations made 30+ days prior to the day of arrival at the hotel do not incur any cancellation penalty and the reservation is eligible to be rescheduled within the next 6 months from the date of cancellation. 
  • Cancellations made 8 to 30 days prior to the day of arrival at the hotel incur a penalty equivalent to the first night of stay including applicable taxes.
  • Cancellations 7 days or less prior to the day of arrival at the hotel incur a penalty equivalent to 100% of the stay including applicable taxes. 
    • The penalty applied does not apply as credit of any kind for future stays.
  • The deposit made cannot be used or exchanged as credit in the resort's or hotel's consumption centers (be it food, golf or any other activity).

 

Refunds

  • The hotel does not provide refunds for deposits made to guarantee rooms. 
  • The deposits made apply as future credit under the conditions of the cancellation policies of Las Verandas Hotel & Villas stated above.
  • The deposit made cannot be used or exchanged as credit in the resort's or hotel's businesses (such food and beverages, golf or any other activity).

 

Reservation Terms and Conditions

  • All rates are shown in US dollars (USD$)
  • Prices per extra person: 
    • Children from 0-4 years of age: stay at no additional cost
    • Children from 5-11 years of age: child rate applies
    • Over 12 years of age: regular price applies per extra person
  • Hotel rates are subject to variations depending on hotel occupancy, special seasons, events held within the facilities, etc. 
  • Due to Honduran bank regulations, we cannot accept torn, stained or damaged bills.
  • Due to Honduran bank regulations, the hotel has a limit on the amount of cash it is allowed to receive in US dollars per reservation. 
    • In $20.00 bills - the hotel can receive $500.00
    • In $100.00 bills - the hotel can receive $1,000.00
  • 19% government tax (15% sales tax and 4% tourist tax) must be added to each rate.
  • The 10% service fee is an optional payment and can be added at the end of your stay.\
  • Extra person prices applies for our regular rate:
    • Extra person (12 years or older) is $75.00 + taxes per night.
    • Extra person (from 5 to 11 years or older) is $59.00 + taxes per night.
    • Different pricing can apply for other rate plans or packages. 
  • 2+ bedroom villas cannot be sold as single rooms.*
    • *Exceptions apply under previously signed group contracts.
  • Payments by credit card or bank deposits and bank transfers are accepted, as well as payments with Cryptocurrency*
    • *Bitcoin
  • Las Verandas Hotel & Villas accepts the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard and American Express
  • There will be no refunds within cancellation periods due to airline delays, strikes, political unrest, weather (including hurricanes), or force majeure events. 
  • Trip cancellation and interruption insurance is recommended.
  • A passport valid for more than 6 months is required to travel to Roatán.
  • Minors (under 18 years of age) must be accompanied by an adult and cannot be left alone.


Restrictions & Regulations

  • The hotel provides parking to all its guests at no additional cost.
    • The hotel is not responsible for theft, loss or damage caused to your vehicle. 
  • The rooms at Las Verandas Hotel & Villas are not Pet Friendly
    • If you have a service dog, it must be previously authorized by the hotel and the request must include the supporting document.
  • No owner or guest may host parties in their Villas, rooms or private pool areas at any time. Loud music is not permitted, including loud music from speakers, DJ services, and equipment or a live band. To ensure the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, any and all party requirements must be coordinated directly with the hotel through the Events department.
  • We care for the maximum occupancy limits for all types of villas and rooms. If you arrive at the hotel to check-in with additional guests than those originally reserved or informed during the reservation process, there will be a charge for the additional guest.
    • If the number of guests exceeds what is allowed in the room/villa type booked, an additional reservation is required to accommodate all guests. 
  • Las Verandas Hotel & Villas is a smoke-free space. Smoking is prohibited in closed spaces such as rooms, lobby, restaurants, etc. If you do so, a penalty of USD$350 (plus local taxes) will automatically be charged to the room account. This has a base through the Special Law for Tobacco Control of Honduras.
  • Our guests are not permitted to ignite fireworks or flames of any kind anywhere on hotel property. Fireworks and beach wood burning (bonfires) are managed solely by the hotel team and must be coordinated through our management team with standard surcharges, taxes and fees.
  • The hotel is not responsible for cash, jewelry or other valuables, so for your convenience and protection, it is recommended that you store your valuables in the safe.
  • Excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages resulting in inappropriate behavior may result in additional charges for disturbing the peace up to eviction from the property.
  • It is prohibited to enter/consume drugs and/or narcotics within the property.
  • The hotel reserves the right of admission and has the right to proceed with the eviction of any reservation and all guests related to a reservation due to non-compliance with our regulations, restrictions and policies without the option of refund of deposits and payments made during guest stay dates. All registered guests are responsible for all damages caused by their companions or group during their stay.
    • Any person who is not registered in the room as a companion in the hotel reservation will be evacuated according to the hotel's disposition. 

 

Accessibility

Las Verandas Hotel & Villas is not fully accessible for people with physical disabilities or people who require a wheelchair. However, we do offer assistance to our guests within our capabilities, including but not limited to: luggage delivery, rearrangement of bedroom furniture, laundry service (limited hours), and special dishes to accommodate dietary needs. If you have specific needs, requests or concerns, we ask that you contact us.
